When it comes to companies, being operational and producing value for the shareholders is the equivalent of being alive:
If a company consumes more cash than it creates for its shareholders then it is dead or it will die soon.
If a company consumes more cash than it creates for its shareholders then it is dead or it will die soon.
If it is not fit, it will show below average results because it cannot compete as well as its advantaged competitors.
Finally, if it is not pursuing a purpose which is supported by its natural allies, its stakeholders, then the company will not last and will not fulfill its potential.
